Product details:
These taps are designed for tapping stainless steel. They have a hardlube coating that protects them from wear. Sometimes called hardslick, hardlube has an inner layer of titanium aluminum nitride (TiAlN) and an outer layer of tungsten carbide/carbon (WC/C). The TiAlN layer withstands high temperatures and protects the taps from wear. The WC/C layer has a low coefficient of friction and helps prevent chips from sticking to the tool in dry-machining applications. This listing is for each.
